DC Voter Guide 2022 Democratic Primary: Candidates, How To Vote

WASHINGTON, DC — The June 21 Democratic Primary is quickly approaching in Washington, D.C., and voters have already begun submitting absentee ballots through early voting locations, mail and drop boxes.

This year, D.C. voters will decide on races for delegate to the U.S. House; shadow representative for the U.S. House; Mayor, Chairman of the D.C. City Council, at-large member of the D.C. Council; members of the D.C. Council in Wards 1, 3, 5, and 6; and the D.C. Attorney General.

Early Voting

Early Vote Centers in the District opened last Friday and runs through Sunday, June 19, from 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. On Tuesday, June 21, Vote Centers will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.

The District has 55 drop boxes available for all voters to drop-off their absentee/early ballots. The drop boxes are open at these locations until 8 p.m.

Preparing for Democratic Primary

The Democratic Party Primary is Tuesday, June 21. The 96 Vote Centers will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. As long as you are in line by 8 p.m., you will be able to vote. A full list of the 95 Vote Centers is available in the district's Voter Guide.
