DC Woman Wanted In 2017 Traffic Fatality Case: Police

D.C. Police are looking for a woman who failed to show up for sentencing after pleading guilty to manslaughter in a traffic fatality case.

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division and the Major Crash Investigations Unit are seeking the public's help in locating a woman wanted in connection with a 2017 traffic fatality in Anacostia, according to a police release.

Around 12:27 a.m., on Sept. 17, 2017, a Dodge pickup trip was traveling westbound on Good Hope Road, Southeast, toward a Honda Accord that was traveling eastbound. The truck crossed into the eastbound lane and struck the Honda Accord head-on, in the 2300 block of Good Hope Road, S.E. D.C. Fire and EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the driver of the Honda Accord dead. The driver and passenger in the truck were transported to area hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

MPD identified the deceased victim as Talata Williams, 43, of Southeast.

Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, MPD arrested Terica Younger, 41, of Southeast on Oct. 3, 2018, charging her with murder two. Younger later pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault.

Younger failed to appear for sentencing in this case and she is now wanted on a D.C. Superior Court bench warrant. Police are asking the public's help in locating her. They released Younger's photo:
