Dramatic Video Shows DC Firefighters Battling Apartment Fire
The video shows just how quickly D.C. firefighters can knock down a fire upon arrival.

WASHINGTON, DC -- If you've ever wanted to know how quickly D.C. firefighters can spring into action and knock down a fire -- and exactly how they do it -- this video (embedded below) from a fire in Southeast recently is a perfect example.
The video shows firefighters quickly attacking a fire in an apartment on the third floor of a building in the 500 block of Ridge Road SE from the interior, and immediately knocking it down before it could spread much further.
You can see smoke billowing as firefighters blast it with water from the inside, and you can hear the shatter of windows broken out as part of the attack.
