TMZ: Drew Carey's Son Claims Credit for Fire Outside 'Deploraball' in DC
It was chaos at the National Press Club the night before Inauguration Day, and Drew Carey's 11-year-old son was right in the middle of it.
WASHINGTON, DC — Mayhem ruled outside the National Press Club in D.C. the night before Inauguration Day as Donald Trump supporters attended a "Deploraball" in his honor while throngs of protesters chanted and endured tear gas from police. As it turns out, Drew Carey's son reportedly was among them, setting something on fire to let his displeasure with Trump's election be known. And he's only 11 years old.
TMZ reports that it was indeed Connor Carey, the actor's son, who claimed he started a bonfire and yelled, "Screw our president" in an interview with a reporter -- an action that displeased both Drew Carey and Connor's mother, who gave him a talking to about his language.
Like a true politician, Connor later said he "regretted his choice of words," according to the report.

Drew Carey was in attendance at the rally as well, and he talked to a TMZ photographer. However, no one appeared to realize that Connor was also there.
The protest was an appetizer for some violence the next day a few blocks away at Franklin Square Park on Inauguration Day when anarchists smashed windows, set a limo on fire and fought with police, leading to more than 200 arrests. Things settled down the next day, when the peaceful Women's March on Washington went off without any violence.
