First Signing Starbucks Opens In DC, Celebrity Stops By (Video)
Marlee Matlin came by the new signing/ASL store in D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The first Starbucks location where every employee is fluent in sign language opened in the District on Tuesday, and it drew a celebrity from the deaf community.
Marlee Matlin visited the Starbucks on H Street in Northeast, the first ASL store that was chosen because of its proximity to Gallaudet University, which is the only liberal arts university in the world that caters to the deaf and hard of hearing.
Much of the imagery at the Starbucks incorporates hands communicating various messages. There's even a chalkboard that shows the ASL vocabulary word of the week, according to CNN.
