Thank you to the Georgetown Athletics #Hoyas Women's & Men's Basketball teams which hosted breast cancer awareness games with #ACS and #Coachesvs Cancer on February 16 and 19, respectively. To complement the games, the teams are fundraising to fight breast cancer– and they need an ASSIST from you! Donate and read more about the Hoyas campaign at: https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/georgetown-basketball-battles-breast-cancer

Funds raised go to support lifesaving breast cancer research and free services for breast cancer patients in the DC area, including rides to treatment and lodging when treatment is needed out of town. Kudos to Sheri Denkensohn-Trott, a 10-year survivor recognized at the men's game, who has raised more than $75K in the last 10 years for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Washington, DC, was honored with a game ball at the Hoyas men's game at Capital One Arena on February 19! At the women's pink out game on February 16, breast cancer survivors were celebrated and honored on the court.

One of every eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetimes according to the American Cancer Society.
