WASHINGTON, DC — As the Washington Commanders square off in their week one matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, a new report shows the team and league are rolling in the big bucks.

The average NFL team is worth $5.1 billion, Forbes reported — 14 percent more than 2022, and a record high. The Commanders, meanwhile, saw their valuation increase 8 percent to $6.05 billion, according to the report.

The Washington Commanders rank No. 8 for value among NFL teams, at $6.05 billion after their recent sale. The Ravens rank 17th in the NFL for their value.

Perhaps the least surprising part of the report: the Dallas Cowboys were the most valuable team, at $9 billion, according to Forbes. “America’s Team” was the only NFL team to rake in more than $1 billion in revenue.

The Tennessee Titans saw the highest year-over-year increase in valuation, climbing a whopping 26 percent to $4.4 billion.
