Homicide Charges Filed In February Fatal Shooting: Police

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department arrested a suspect in connection with the Feb. 2 fatal shooting in the Washington Highlands area, according to a police release. MPD identified the deceased victim as 26 year-old Raheem Murray, of no fixed address.

MPD officers from the Seventh District responded about 4:08 p.m., to the 4300 block of 3rd Street, S.E., for the report of a shooting. Arriving on the scene, officers discovered Murray unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS found no signs of life. Murray was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

At the scene of the shooting, officers found two other victims. One man, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, was taken to an area hospital to be treated for life threatening injuries. The third victim was located later after he sought medical treatment at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant on Thursday, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Glenn Dolford, 26, of Southeast, and charged him with first degree murder while armed (premeditated). This case remains under investigation.
