How to Report Voter Fraud, Misinformation, and Irregularities
Stay safe this voting season! Report any incidences of harassment or suspicious tampering.

First, remember to bring your voter registration card with you to the Vote Center, and also legal identification with your photo and address on it, just in case anyone asks for it.
Second, the D.C. Board of Elections has mailed everyone a mail-in ballot since 2020, which really is a convenience. So if the line is unbearably long, or you lose your place in line, don't despair. Request an absentee ballot if you haven't received one yet, and mail it in.
Third, generally D.C. is flexible about which Vote Center you use, however you can use the Vote Center location tool if you want to use another one in your Ward: https://www.dcboe.org/

There are ways to fight back if you are standing in a very long line at the polling center and a strange group of people decide to cut in front. Or if someone approaches you, trying to bribe you into changing your vote.
Of course, at the Vote Center, it's best to allow the poll workers and election security officers to decide on issues. If the line is unbearably long, bring a book to read, or pray.

If they don't resolve things to your satisfaction, record the event and report it to other authorities.
For instance, you can share it on X, such as at a candidate's campaign website, where others will review and repost it.
The FBI is also encouraging voters to report election crimes. Their website states: "If you think an election crime is occurring, contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or tips.fbi.gov or contact your local FBI field office." You can also learn about election related scams and how to stay safe at this link: fbi.gov/investigate/public-corruption/election-crimes
It is possible to wait and report it to the Elections Board, although here in Washington, D.C., the office may not have time to respond immediately. The number to contact for information is: (202)-727-2525. Their address is: D.C. Board of Elections, 1015 Half Street SE, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20003-4733. Their website is: www.dcboe.org
If you believe a civil rights violation is taking place related to the elections, there is a free online form for reporting: civilrights.justice.gov/report. A legal expert will respond or direct you to local resources.
To learn about elections and voter fraud, visit USA.gov's "Voter fraud, voter suppression, and other election crimes" webpage.
For people with special needs, one should be able to request a paper ballot if the machine won't allow you to enter the candidate of your choice. Laws that protect voters with disabilities are described at: https://www.usa.gov/voter-acce...
The federal government (USA.gov) defines "Voter fraud, voter suppression, and other election crimes" at that webpage as follows:
"Voter fraud and voter registration fraud, such as when someone illegally casts a vote in the name of a dead person or someone who has moved. Many states have strengthened their voter ID requirements to help stop voter fraud."
Additionally the government defines "voter intimidation or coercion" as:
"Civil rights violations involving voter intimidation, coercion, threats, and other tactics to suppress a person's ability to vote."
In fact the USA.gov "Voter fraud, voter suppression, and other election crimes" webpage provides direct links to the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice where you can report a civil rights violation online and obtain legal aid. Of course one can and should also try to report to state or local campaign offices, and/or election precinct office. It should be made clear that voter and election crime is punishable by fines and up to five years in prison, but the laws are under Title 52 U.S. Code Section 20511, and Title 18 U.S. Code Section 594.
There may be no time right now to correct it if you believe there are multiple addresses listed under your name at the DCBOE. This happens because you moved or even changed apartments in DC, and there is not much you can do about it, even if there are now concerns that all those addresses will clandestinely be used by the system.
In fact, a grassroots voter alert group has formed to report suspected elections fraud and voter interference. It can be anything from suspicious trucker parked at the curb, pushing many boxes into a parked USPS delivery van on elections night, or thugs messing with a ballot box, or breaking into the Vote Center. All of those are prosecutable according to TruetheVote.org which has an easy VoteAlert online form to report voting or election process irregularities. VoteAlert even has an Election Integrity Helpline (1-866-888-2024) with Spanish translator option.
Stay safe this election season and don't despair. No election is ever the final word on anything, and you can always join an advocacy group to help resolve matters.
