Karen Torres Awarded Walmart Community Playmaker

The Walmart Community Playmaker award is presented each year to give thanks to members in the community who are dedicated to improving the lives of others and being a force for good. This year, Karen Torres, President and CEO of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC, was presented the award during a recent Washington Capitals game. Torres joined Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC in 2012. Since joining, she has been an integral part of growing the charity to help more families and children and working toward their mission of easing the hardship of children’s illness on families through programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children.
