Man, Girl Shot In Northeast Washington: Police

Police are investigating a shooting that left a man and a 17-year-old girl injured in Northeast Washington.

WASHINGTON, DC — Police are investigating a shooting that left a man and a 17-year-old girl injured in Northeast Washington Thursday afternoon.

The shooting happened at about 3:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Saratoga Ave., NE., police said.

According to WJLA, the girl was an innocent bystander who was sitting in her vehicle at the time of the shooting. Police say she was shot in the head and was transported to the hospital unconscious and breathing.

Police are searching for two black males who were wearing white shirts at the time of the shooting. Officers believe the suspects may be traveling in a gold Honda Accord.
