Man Rescues Car Crash Victim, Then Police Take His Car: Report
A Maryland man told a local TV station that D.C. police took his car without explanation after he helped pull someone from a crashed car.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A Maryland man is now without a vehicle after he rescued a car crash victim and then had his car confiscated by police without explanation shortly after departing, according to a report.
Fox 5 reports that Benjamin Davis was driving on Suitland Parkway shortly before midnight on Sunday when he saw a car veer off the road and crash into a tree, prompting him to get out of his car to help.
He saw a man hanging out of the passenger window of the crushed vehicle, and he helped pull him out. The driver died in the crash.

Davis remained to tell responding police what he saw, and after being told to he was free to go, he left -- and then was stopped a block away by officers who confiscated his car without explanation.
