Man Who Hit 3 Pedestrians In Stolen Vehicle Wanted By DC Police

D.C. Police are looking for a man they say hit three pedestrians after he stole an unattended delivery vehicle in Mount Pleasant.

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District are asking the public's help in locating a man they say stuck three pedestrians with a stolen vehicle Tuesday afternoon in Mount Pleasant, according to a police release.

Around 4:55 p.m., the a man stole a vehicle that a delivery driver had left running and unattended in the 3300 block of 18th St., N.W. As he was driving away, the man lost control of the vehicle and struck an adult female and two children, according to police. He then fled the scene on foot. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victims to nearby hospitals to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

MPD released photos of the suspect captured on a nearby surveillance camera. Police ask anyone with information about the identity of the man in the photos or knowledge of this case to call 202-727-9099 or text your tip to 50411.
