WASHINGTON, DC — Various McDonald's of Greater Washington locations will use limited-edition rainbow fry boxes to show support of the LGBTQ community during the Capital Pride Parade next week, WTOP reports.
The participating McDonald's are along the parade route, and include: 1944 14th St. NW, 1619 17th St. NW and 1916 M St. NW. To receive a limited-edition rainbow fry box, customers can purchase an order of large french frys from June 9-11.
“The rainbow fry boxes are a fun way to show our support of the LGBTQ community using one of McDonald’s most iconic and recognizable items,” Cathy Martin, the co-chair of the McDonald’s PRIDE Network and vice president and general manager of McDonald’s Baltimore-Washington Region, told WTOP. “We are proud to honor and celebrate the LGBTQ community, including our employees, customers and beyond, each and every day.”
