MD Man Charged In DC Child Sex Abuse Case: Police

D.C. Police arrested an Upper Marlboro man in connection with a child sex abuse offense in the Hillbrook area of the city.

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth and Family Services Division Physical and Sexual Abuse Branch arrested a suspect in connection with a child sex abuse offense that took place Saturday in the Hillbrook area, according to a police release.

Around 11:22 a.m., the suspect engaged in unwanted sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl in the 4400 block of Benning Road, N.E., according to police.

MPD arrested Richard Ryan Weaver, 37, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, on Wednesday, and charged him with second degree child sexual abuse.
