Metro Schedule For Jan. 26 - 27: Buses Replace Trains, More

If you're taking the Metro this weekend, you should plan accordingly. Buses will replace trains on certain lines.

WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do in the D.C. metro area this weekend — including Winter Restaurant Week, the 10th annual DC Records Fair, Legwarmers: DC's Biggest '80s Retro Dance Party, and Live Music at Paradise Springs Winery.

If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Jan. 26 or Sunday, Jan. 27, you should plan accordingly. Service changes might cause some delays. Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:

Red Line trains will operate every 9 minutes between Farragut North and Silver Spring, and every 18 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont. Trains will single-track between Van Ness-UDC and Friendship Heights.

To accommodate construction on the Blue Line, Orange Line trains will run every 20 minutes.

Crews will be working between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road. As a result, Silver Line trains will operate every 20 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and New Carrollton. Riders traveling to and from Benning Road, Capitol Heights, Addison Road, Morgan Boulevard, and Largo Town Center should take the Blue Line to get to their destination.

Blue Line trains will run every 20 minutes between Braddock Road and Largo Town Center. The following stations will be closed this weekend: Franconia-Springfield, Van Dorn Street, and King Street. Shuttle buses are set to replace trains between Franconia-Springfield, Van Dorn Street, King Street, and Braddock Road. In addition, Blue Line trains will single-track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road.

Yellow Line trains will operate every 20 minutes between Braddock Road and Mt. Vernon Square. The following stations will be closed this weekend: Huntington, Eisenhower Avenue, and King Street. Shuttle buses are set to replace trains between Huntington, Eisenhower Avenue, King Street, and Braddock Road.

Green Line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule. However, due to construction, trains will single-track between Fort Totten and Prince George's Plaza from 10 p.m. to close.
