Metro Schedule For March 9-10: Single-Tracking, More

WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do and see in the D.C. area this weekend — including the Cherry Blossom PUB, United Airlines Rock n' Roll Washington DC Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, HopFest 2019, and Cookie and Wine Pairing.

If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, March 9 or Sunday, March 10, you should plan accordingly. Service changes may cause some delays. Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:

Red Line trains will single-track between Van Ness-UDC and Dupont Circle. Trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule on Saturday until 10 p.m. After that, trains will run every 16 minutes. From 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, trains will run every 8 minutes between Farragut North and Silver Spring, and every 16 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont.

Blue Line trains will operate on a normal weekend schedule on Saturday until 10 p.m. From 10 p.m. to closing, trains will run every 24 minutes. On Sunday, trains will operate every 24 minutes. Due to rail work, trains will single-track between Pentagon City and Arlington Cemetery this weekend.

Yellow Line trains will single-track between Pentagon City and L'Enfant Plaza. Trains will run on a regular weekend schedule on Saturday until 10 p.m. From 10 p.m. to closing, trains will operate every 24 minutes. On Sunday, trains will run between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square every 24 minutes. Lastly, riders taking the train to and from stations north of Mount Vernon Square should use the Green Line to get to their destination.

Green, Silver, and Orange line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
