N.C. Woman Found Bound, Stabbed to Death in Northeast DC Home: Police

Police are now looking for a 2004 blue Toyota Prius with Kentucky plates, and are offering a $25,000 reward.

WASHINGTON, DC — Police found a woman from North Carolina bound and stabbed to death inside of a home in Northeast D.C., and they're now searching for a car with Kentucky plates.

Police were first called to the home in the 600 block of 14th Street NE shortly after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, where they found the body of 34-year-old Corrina Mehiel, who had been temporarily living in the city.

Police are now looking for a vehicle with Kentucky license plates, number 722RMY. The car, a blue 2004 Toyota Prius, has a yellow diamond-shaped sticker on the rear bumper.

A $25,000 reward is being offered to information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
