New Restaurant Opening At Navy Yard: Report
It will be the group's fourth ramen shop in the District.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A group behind popular ramen shops Daikaya, Bantam King, and Haikan have announced they will be opening a fourth shop, this time in the Navy Yard neighborhood, according to a report.
Washingtonian reports that Hatoba, which will open in Navy Yard this winter, would serve a variation of Sapporo-style ramen, and it will be helmed by head chef Katsuya Fukushima, who plans to incorporate plenty of seafood into his dishes.
The restaurant will seat 50 indoors and 30 on its patio. In addition to ramen and dumplings, the eatery will also serve Japanese beer and a few cocktails, according to the report.

The restaurant will certainly have a unique look, since it will be situated in a building that was formerly used to produce Navy ship boilers. That explains its name: Hatoba is Japanese for "dock."
