Trump's DC Hotel To Be Site Of Massive LGBTQ Dance Party: Report

LGBTQ activists will descend on the Trump International Hotel Friday night to show solidarity with the gay community.

WASHINGTON, DC — LGBTQ activists will be donning their flashiest attire and moving to the music in front of the Trump International Hotel Friday night in D.C. for a huge dance party to show solidarity against the Trump Administration.

WERK for Peace, which also organized the dance party in front of Vice President Mike Pence's house in Chevy Chase, Maryland, last month, is behind the party, which will turn into a march toward the White House later in the evening.

The event is called "WERK in Solidarity: Celebrating Intersectionality & Resistance," and nearly 1,000 had already indicated they were attending on the event's Facebook page as of Friday morning.

It is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. at the hotel, which is located at 1100 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. A total of 4,000 people have indicated they are "interested."

"We don't need #AlternativeFacts," the event page states. "Our hips don't lie and never had to. Instead, we embrace and honor the beautiful, magnificent truth of our intersectionality and the power our bodies have to claim space and assert: #WeAreHere and we are not going anywhere. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. We stand strongly in solidarity.

"Get ready to move your bodies and booties to beats put together by our diverse community. Biodegradable glitter will make a re-appearance, as will rainbow paraphernalia. We will also have hand warmers."

The goal of the dance is to show Trump and his administration that "their hate and discrimination are not welcome here," they add.

There will also be an after-party at a location to be determined.
