Vehicle, Suspect Sought In Takoma Armed Kidnapping: Updated
D.C. Police are seeking the public's help in locating a vehicle of interest involved in an armed kidnapping early Saturday morning.

Updated (Oct. 5, 1:50 p.m.): This story was updated with photos of the suspect from the Metropolitan Police Department.
WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division of the Metropolitan Police Department are asking the public's help in locating a vehicle of interest in connection with an armed kidnapping that took place Saturday morning in Takoma, according to a police release.
The suspects approached the victim's vehicle around 1:05 a.m., in the 6500 block of 5th St., N.W. After pointing a handgun, they demanded the victim hand over their property. The suspects then got into the vehicle and forced the victim to drive to a bank to withdraw money. The victim complied and then the suspects fled in the victim's vehicle.

Police released photos of the stolen vehicle, which they described as a four-door, red Toyota Corolla with the Maryland license plate number 1CV2126.

MPD asks anyone with information about the location of the vehicle or this case to take no action and call police at 202-727-9099. They may also submit an anonymous tip by text to 50411. MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $10,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of suspects responsible for a violent crime in the District.
