Wellpoint DC Launches its Summer Health Pop-Up Series with Washington DC Community Partners

Wellpoint DC (formerly Amerigroup DC) recently held one of its “Summer Pop-Up” events at Ward 8’s Allen Chapel AME, in partnership with Smart From the Start, a nonprofit organization that promotes healthy lifestyles and school readiness.

The event featured healthy cooking demonstrations and refreshments from Food Jonezi, free supply giveaways, and the distribution of information about healthcare access. Other events are planned throughout July.
