$1M Mega Millions Ticket Sold In FL, Jackpot Grows To $720M

No one snagged Tuesday's $640 million jackpot. The next Mega Millions drawing will be held Friday.

FLORIDA — While no one won Tuesday night's $640 million Mega Millions jackpot, a ticket worth $1 million was sold in Hillsborough County, according to Florida lottery officials.

The winning Florida ticket matched Tuesday's five white balls of 16, 22, 31, 37 and 54, making it worth $1 million, according to the Mega Millions website.

The $1 million ticket was sold at a Publix store at 6434 U.S. Highway 41 North in Apollo Beach, TC Palm reported.

Nationwide, 46 tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to win the third-tier prize of $40,000 each.

Since no one snagged the big prize Tuesday, Friday's jackpot swells to an estimated $720 million with an estimated cash option of $396.3 million. This jackpot is the fifth-largest in the game’s history.

Mega Millions tickets are $2 each. Players can add the Megaplier for an additional $1 to multiply their non-jackpot prizes.

Drawings are held at 11 p.m. ET on Tuesdays and Fridays.
