Publix Sells Winning $1M Lottery Ticket To FL Visitor
A Baltimore man claimed the top prize from the Florida Lottery's Gold Rush Doubler scratch-off game after buying the ticket in Naples.
NAPLES, FL — A Maryland man visiting Florida won $1 million from a scratch-off lottery ticket he purchased at a Naples Publix, lottery officials announced this week.
Collin Reed, 39, of Baltimore, claimed the top prize from the Florida Lottery's Gold Rush Doubler scratch-off game, officials announced Tuesday. He purchased the $5 ticket at the Publix store located at 7101 Radio Rd.
Reed chose to receive his winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $685,000.

The Publix store that sold the ticket will also receive a $2,000 commission, lottery officials said.
The Gold Rush Doubler scratch-off game features more than $188 million in cash prizes, including 28 top prizes of $1 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.98.
