The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said its testing identified the presence of Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli bacteria in some samples.
According to the recall notice, the wipes were sold at Target stores nationwide and online, including the company's locations across Florida.

The FDA says the affected products were manufactured between November 2025 and May 2026.
Federal health officials said the bacteria pose the greatest risk to newborns, infants, young children and people with weakened immune systems. In vulnerable individuals, infections can spread into the bloodstream and potentially lead to life-threatening conditions such as sepsis or pneumonia.
The FDA also said healthy individuals may experience localized infections, skin irritation or eye irritation.
Target and the wipes' manufacturer have also received reports of discoloration, skin irritation, eye irritation and infections potentially associated with the products, though those reports remain under investigation by federal authorities
The FDA says the recall affects multiple package sizes of both fragrance-free and cucumber-scented wipes. Consumers can identify recalled products by checking manufacturing and expiration dates listed on the packaging.
Target is advising customers to immediately stop using the recalled wipes and return them to any store for a full refund.
