U.S. Sen. Rick Scott's FL Home 'Swatted'

"These criminals wasted the time & resources of our law enforcement in a sick attempt to terrorize my family," Rick Scott said Thursday.

NAPLES — U.S. Sen. Rick Scott joined other political officials in being "swatted" this week while having dinner with his wife, he said Thursday on X, formerly Twitter.

Scott said his Naples home was swatted Wednesday night by "cowards." He did not fully detail the nature of the swatting.

"Last night, while at dinner with my wife, cowards 'swatted' my home in Naples. These criminals wasted the time & resources of our law enforcement in a sick attempt to terrorize my family. Ann & I want to thank @NaplesPolice & @CollierSheriff for all they do to keep us safe," he said.
