Unclaimed $36M Mega Millions Ticket Sold At FL Publix Expires Sunday

FLORIDA — Check your old Mega Millions tickets, Floridians. An unclaimed winning ticket worth $36 million will expire in just a handful of hours.

The winning ticket for the Aug. 15, 2023, drawing was sold at Publix located on Roosevelt Boulevard in Jacksonville. The winning numbers for the drawing were 18, 39, 42, 57 and 63. The Mega Ball was 7.

The big win marked the third time in a year a ticket purchased in Florida matched all six balls to secure the jackpot.

So far, no one has come forward to claim the winnings for Aug. 15 drawing, lottery officials said.

The deadline to claim the massive prize is Sunday, Feb. 11 at midnight Eastern Time.

Should the winner select the cash option, which most players do, they'll walk away with $17.4 million before taxes.

According to the Florida Lottery, the jackpot prize must be claimed at any Florida Lottery District Office. Players can check to see if they have a winning ticket by scanning the ticket barcode on the Lottery’s free mobile app.
