Police say investigations are ongoing and are urging neighbors to lock doors, secure windows and garages, remove valuables from vehicles, and avoid advertising vacations online to help prevent more break-ins.

Apopka's first FY2026-27 budget workshop offers early look at Nesta's push to reshape City Hall (theapopkavoice.com) — Apopka residents can get an early look at Mayor Nick Nesta’s plans for City Hall operations and long-term growth at Wednesday’s 6 p.m. FY2027 budget workshop. Department heads will outline proposals for new staff, technology upgrades, redevelopment strategies, and infrastructure investments, with an emphasis on transparency and earlier public input into how Apopka evolves over the next decade.

5. Lady Vols Basketball Incoming Transfer Jada Eads Offers Update on ACL Injury Recovery (rockytopinsider.com) — A former Wekiva High School standout from Apopka, guard Jada Eads is working her way back from an ACL tear as she prepares to join the Tennessee Lady Vols.
