• Area cities set tentative millage rates as final 2026-27 budget votes approach (mainstreetdailynews.com) — Archer’s city commission plans to keep its property tax rate at 6.4322 mills for 2026-27, a level that’s 6.04% above the rollback rate and will fund a sharply higher $1.56 million budget. The spending plan supports projects like the joint wastewater treatment facility with Newberry, and final votes on Archer’s millage and budget are set for the Sept. 28 commission meeting. 
• Legal Notices/Public Notices 09/17/2026 (alachuacountytoday.com) — Several new legal notices may affect Archer-area residents, including a partition case listing an address on SW 137th Avenue in Archer and multiple foreclosure, probate, and tax deed actions across Alachua County.
