• Betty Beamer (orlando-news.com) — Longtime Azalea Park Elementary School teacher Betty Beamer, who spent 32 years shaping young minds in the neighborhood’s classrooms, has passed away at age 87. The Orlando resident is remembered for her decades of service in Orange County Public Schools, her love of gardening and tennis, and the close family she leaves behind, including children Melanie and Jeff and four grandsons.
