2 Arrested In Lithia Home Invasion Involving Pregnant Woman

LITHIA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested two people believed to have taken part in a home invasion in which a pregnant homeowner shot and killed one of the robbers.
The story made national news after the homeowner, who was eight months pregnant at the time, grabbed a rifle and shot one of the robbers after her husband was pistol whipped.
At 8:44 p.m. on Oct. 30, two men burst through the front door of the home in the 100 block of Old Welcome Road. The sheriff's office believes the home was targeted by the robbers due to criminal activity that was occurring inside.

Homeowner Jeremy King, his wife and their 11-year-old daughter were in the home at the time.
The sheriff's office said the robbers, both armed with handguns, began to assault King who was treated for a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, 20 stitches and a concussion.
While the robbers turned their attention to King, his pregnant wife grabbed an AR-10 rifle that was purchased legally and shot one of the robbers.

Both robbers retreated from the home. The robber who was shot was discovered by deputies lying dead in a ditch near the house. The second robber got away.
Now the sheriff's office said it has identified the second robber in addition to a woman who the sheriff's office said served as the getaway driver.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, the sheriff's office arrested Ty'Zae Iizon Robinson, 19, on a warrant for second-degree felony murder with possession of a firearm in connection with the death of the other robber, Joseph Michael Baez, 27.
And on Sunday, Dec. 15, Plant City Police arrested Kiara Tarquavia Ragins, 24, on a warrant for accessory after the fact to second-degree felony murder.
