Man detained near Boca Raton condos after vehicle break-ins (wpbf.com) — Police say a man from California was arrested after witnesses and surveillance video linked him to multiple vehicle and clubhouse break-ins at the San De Vance Condos on Northwest 67th Street in Boca Raton. Officers report recovering tools, a handgun, drugs, and stolen items, and the case remains under active investigation by the Boca Raton Police Department.
   

2. Boca Raton City Council adopts final budget, adds $1.8 million to replace damaged fire truck (bocapost.com) — Boca Raton's City Council has approved the final 2026–27 budget and tax rate, including $1.8 million to replace a Fire Rescue truck damaged on I‑95 and higher fire assessments to fully staff Station 8. The plan also advances major water and sewer work, Memorial Park improvements, and CRA projects, while a wastewater spill near Camino Real keeps a no-swim, no-irrigation advisory in place.
   

3. No Swim Advisory Near The Boca Resort Lifted (bocanewsnow.com) — Water activities around Lake Boca near the Boca Raton Resort are once again considered safe, after health officials lifted last week's no-swim advisory tied to a wastewater spill. Recent testing by the city and state agencies shows bacteria levels have returned to acceptable standards, so residents can resume boating, swimming, and other water fun in that area.
   

4. Boca Raton Man Jailed After Delray Beach Battery Case Moves To Felony Court (bocapost.com) — A 24-year-old Boca Raton resident is being held in the Palm Beach County jail after prosecutors upgraded a Delray Beach bar-fight case from misdemeanor to felony battery charges. Court records detail surveillance video, witness accounts, and the alleged victim's injuries, while stressing that the Boca Raton man remains presumed innocent as the case proceeds in circuit court.
   

5. FAU Hosts Presidential Historian Jeffrey Engel on How America Goes to War (bocanewsnow.com) — Florida Atlantic University's Boca Raton campus will host presidential historian Jeffrey Engel on Nov. 19 for a public lecture exploring how U.S. presidents decide to go to war. The afternoon talk, part of FAU's O'Sullivan Memorial Lecture Series, requires tickets and will include security screening and clear-bag recommendations for attendees.
