1. Boca Raton's North Park Skate Park Heads To Planning & Zoning Board (tapinto.net) — Boca Raton's Planning & Zoning Board will consider adding a 45,000‑square‑foot skate park to the already-approved North Park plans, after local skaters pushed for more space than Memorial Park offers. If approved, construction on the east side of North Park will start in September, bringing a large skate facility, dog park, trails, playground, and fitness equipment to the community.
   

2. Boca Raton to Remove 26 License Plate Reader Cameras Following State Directive (bocadailynews.com) — Boca Raton will remove 26 license plate reader cameras from state-controlled roads by September 30 to comply with a new Florida Department of Transportation directive. Most of the city's 262 readers will remain, but devices on key routes like Federal Highway, A1A, Glades, and Yamato roads must come down amid statewide privacy and surveillance concerns.
   

3. Boca Raton Men Plead Guilty in $8M Mail Fraud Scheme (bocanewsnow.com) — Two Boca Raton men have pleaded guilty in federal court to running a nationwide mail fraud scheme that collected more than $8 million from companies billed for products they never ordered. Prosecutors say the operation used fake invoice-style mailers sent from Florida and other states, and both defendants now face up to 20 years in prison when sentenced in February 2027.
   

4. Delray Medical Center Vascular Surgeon First in South Florida to Use SEISMIQ™ Technology (bocaratontribune.com) — From a Boca Raton dateline, Delray Medical Center is announcing that vascular surgeon Dr. Joseph Ricotta is the first in South Florida to use the SEISMIQ intravascular lithotripsy system for complex peripheral artery disease. The technology uses acoustic pressure waves to break up hardened calcium in leg arteries, helping improve blood flow and potentially preserving limbs for patients across the region, including Boca residents.
