Speak Steady is a Speech, Voice, and Cognitive Program designed for individuals living with Parkinson&rsquo;s disease and related movement disorders who notice their voice has become quieter or softer, harder to hear, monotone, breathy, or hoarse, or who feel they run out of breath while talking. It is also geared toward individuals experiencing slurred or mumbled speech, rapid bursts of speech, freezing speech mid-sentence, vocal fatigue, reduced facial expression, voice tremor, repeating sounds or words, or increased effort and fatigue when communicating. Speak Steady was developed by Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Jessica Ackerman MSCCC-SLP, also a Registered Yoga Theacher with a career of experience in Voice and Speech Therapy for neurologic impairments, including LSVT LOUD. Jessica's science-backed technique is accessible through engaging guided videos in interactive practice sessions where you go at your own pace from the comfort and convenience of home.
