'Doctor Who' Fans' TARDIS Not Welcome in Florida Neighborhood
The family has received an eviction notice for its quirky, homemade replica.

Cars and trucks are OK for driveways, but it seems time machines don’t quite meet the muster when it comes to conveyances allowed to be parked in a Parrish neighborhood.
At least that’s what LeAnn and David Moder have learned. The avid fans of the British TV show “Doctor Who” recently received a letter informing them having a TARDIS parked in their driveway violates the homeowners association’s rules, Bay News 9 reported.
The Moders, who were married in front of the handcrafted “time machine,” are taking the request in stride, the station reported.

“It was like it was just a very formal letter, and I was like, what a nerdy problem to have like to get a letter saying your TARDIS is in violation,” Bay News 9 quoted David as saying.
While the Moders have no qualms about moving the giant show prop into their backyard and out of sight, they did have a little fun with the eviction notice, NeatORama pointed out.

The couple staged a “Who-Viction Notice” party on Saturday, complete with an outdoor airing of several episodes of the show.
“Popcorn and Tardis provided,” the invitation read. “Please keep it nerd classy and family friendly. Cosplay welcome and expected.”
While the association isn’t keen on having a TARDIS in plain view, LeAnn Moder said her neighborhood is pretty tight-knit and “quite cool,” according to NeatORama.
“We have neighborhood parties, we celebrate Halloween like nobody’s business with multiple haunted houses throughout (including our own Doctor Who themed Haunted House this year),” she said, adding that there are no hard feelings.
