Join us! Audubon Trip to "Wings & Wildflowers Festival" near Apopka, FL

This award-winning festival is popular due to its exciting field trips to birding hotspots, famous speakers, & variety of exhibitors.

Carpool to the Annual Wings & Wildflower Festival at the Venetian Gardens in Leesburg, FL.

  • Enjoy birding in the Apopka restoration wildlife area, Ferndale Preserve, Emeralda Marsh, Hilochee Wildlife Management Area, etc..

FESTIVAL DETAILS -- SPEAKERS, BIRD TRIPS, EXHIBITORS

  • Lakeside Inn will host one of the festival’s keynote dinners from 6-7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3 featuring Roger L. Hammer, an award-winning naturalist and author and Stacy Tornio, editor of the premier national birding and gardening publication “Birds & Blooms.”
  • Paddy Cunningham of Birding Adventures will also host “Breakfast with Birds” at Lakeside Inn from 6:30 - 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 3.

The 3rd Annual Wings and Wildflowers Festival will showcase Lake County as a premier birding destination. The goal of this festival to enhance awareness and appreciation of Lake County’s quality of life and support environmental initiatives on behalf of citizens and visitors alike. The festival has been made popular by its exciting field trips to birding hotspots and wildflower havens, as well as due to bringing some of the nation’s top birding, wildflower and nature experts to the area to share their knowledge.
