Lakeland Stampede at Suncoast USSSA tournament in Plant City

Coaches Marc Buffington and Brad Jones were very please with the play of the 10U Stampede and the Suncoast USSSA baseball tournament at Plant City Fl on November 11 and 12, 2016.

Coach Buffington sees Suncoast USSSA is a first class company with dedicated employees. USSSA tourneys are well organized with solid umpire crews. The Plant City facility is also ideal for competitive regional games.

Marc stated that all the Stampede players put in a great effort in getting to the finals where the Bandits prevailed. The Stampede roster consists of: Marvin Montenegro, A.J. Medina, Alex Fisher, Jake Buffington, Austin Yourn, Brody Teston, Ethan Simmons, Braden Jones and Antony Monteleon.

The defense, especially in the infield was great. Jake Buffington, Marvin Montenegro, A.J. Medina and Alex Fisher were solid all the way around with A.J. hitting his first home run.

The Stampede looks for athletes for the team. Players are encouraged to play other sports if they wish as skills from those sports carry over to baseball. The team consists of players from South Lake Babe Ruth. The players were a part of teams that competed very well on the local and regional levels.

The team looks forward to continued success. Players and coaches very much appreciate the dedication of parents, families and friends that make things possible from practices to tournaments.
