Local woman going "60 for 60"

Bradenton SWAT, Woman of the Month, Swat Networking

Anita Cordes was honored this past week at the Bradenton Chapter of Successful Woman Aligning Together (SWAT) as their November Woman of the Month. This honor was bestowed on this amazing woman not just because of her kind and giving heart but for the many accomplishments she has done alone as well as with others and for others. She is the office manager for Dr Tinsworth, local orthodontist and has been for the past 16 years. She has started businesses with her husband Jeff over the years and currently they have a doTerra Essential Oil business which as Anita claims it is her true passion. She loves helping others with essential oils like they have helped her. “Like a good book, when you find something that is really good you want to share with others”, says Anita.
Another one of Anita’s passions is supporting the fight against breast Cancer. After her best friend died from breast cancer in 2008, she signed up for the 2009 Tampa 3 day Susan B Coleman walk for the cure. This meant a lot to her as she felt she was doing her part in the name of her friend to help find the cure. She now plans to do this walk again but this time in San Diego with a team of 7 of her friends on November 18-20th. Their team has raised over $21,000.00 for the cause. Anita will be 60 on November 25 so she feels she will be doing 60 miles for a 60 year old or “60 for 60”.
Anita and Jeff have been married for 34 years and have a son Jared and daughter Elaina. She was want of the original members of SWAT when there was only 15 members and now the organization founded by Dr Robyn Spirtas is over 300 woman strong. There are now 7 chapters that meet monthly from 11:30-1 pm located in Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Manasota, Anna Maria Island, Parrish, Venice and Brandon. It is an all woman networking organization but much more they are sisters to one another and support each other in their businesses as well as personal lives. Anyone is invited to come as a guest to check out our networking organization but we do ask you to RSVP. For more information contact Dr Robyn Spirtas (941)962-0884 or go to www.swatnetworking.com
