Palmetto Man Arrested In Child Porn Case

PALMETTO, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 37-year-old Palmetto man on a number of criminal charges.

According to the agency, detectives received information that Victor Navarrete-Garcia was in possession of child pornography on his computer. That May 11 tip, sparked an investigation that ended Monday with a warrant search at Navarrete-Garcia’s home.

Deputies say they seized files containing child pornography. Navarrete-Garcia has since been charged with multiple counts of sexual performance by a child and transmission of child pornography.
