Man In Jail For Stabbing Teen Charged With Woman's Murder: Manatee Sheriff (patch.com) — A Bradenton man already jailed for stabbing a 15-year-old has now been charged with second-degree murder after a woman's body was found behind a home on 59th Avenue East. Detectives say witness statements and forensic evidence linked him to both Bradenton incidents, and he remains held at the Manatee County Jail as the investigation continues.
   

2. Performing arts school could open in downtown Bradenton. What to know (tampabay.com) — Downtown Bradenton could soon gain a Point Park University performing arts campus in the historic GTE building, after city and county leaders advanced a key agreement and $10 property transfer. The project, expected to bring 250 students and a $7 million annual economic impact, is being pitched as a catalyst for downtown revitalization and the Avenue of the Arts vision.
