City of Bradenton tackles aging infrastructure with 51 projects (tampabay28.com) — Bradenton is pushing ahead with 51 "Face It Fix It" infrastructure projects to upgrade aging water, sewer, road, and drainage systems across the city, many funded by outside grants. With nearly $150 million secured and less than 10% coming from residents, the work aims to improve water pressure, reduce flooding, and boost quality of life in local neighborhoods.
   

2. A Pittsburgh-based performing arts school wants to add a campus in Bradenton (wusf.org) — Bradenton officials are moving ahead with a plan to turn the historic GTE building downtown into a Point Park University performing arts campus that could bring 250 students and a projected $7 million annual economic impact. City council and county commissioners have already approved key steps, including selling the $1.2 million building to the city for $10, while detailed renovation and partnership terms are finalized by November.
   

3. Bradenton expands Lift Station 3 to boost wastewater reliability (mysuncoast.com) — Bradenton is expanding Lift Station 3 to provide more reliable wastewater service and backup power for the Riverside Drive East area, while reducing long‑term flood risk. The project, highlighted at a recent Public Works & Utilities open house, is part of the city's broader "Face It, Fix It" push to upgrade water, wastewater, and drainage systems residents depend on daily.
   

4. SRQ Airport, Cirrus Aviation partner with Team Success to explore careers in aviation (prioritymarketing.com) — Bradenton's Team Success charter school has launched a new aviation careers elective for grades 6-12, built around a partnership with Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport and Cirrus Aviation. Throughout the 2026-27 school year, students will study aviation basics, airport operations, air traffic control and safety, with on-site visits to SRQ, and the school is still accepting K-12 applications.
   

5. Community mural brings color, pride, and a touch of Suncoast View to Bradenton (mysuncoast.com) — A colorful mural outside the Chop Shop in Bradenton has quickly become a beloved local landmark and photo spot, now featuring the Suncoast View logo. Created to celebrate Bradenton's spirit, it's drawing steady attention from residents and even Bradenton police officers, who often stop to snap pictures with their cruisers in front of the artwork.
