Waves at Suncoast USSSA Tournament

Waves Baseball

Head Coach Mike Roberts of the 11U Waves from Fort Myers along with his assistant coaches Bob Housler, Josh Corr and Mark Lorenz were very proud of the way the team performed at the Suncoast USSSA tourney.

Mike has been a part of the Waves program for two years. The team was 2-0 in pool play and lost a tough game out of the gate Sunday by one run, scored in the last inning.

The team is solid all the way around with a very deep team that can win games and tourneys in a lot of different ways. The Waves have won about half of the tourneys they have been entered in. USSSA tourneys are terrific as they are well run with "deep fields" meaning there are lot of good teams entered. The numbers are usually in the 10-12 range but have gone as high as 19. The team competes at a Fort Myers tourney in early December and then is on to Disney for a tourney.
