• Microtunnel Installation Beneath Brandon Boulevard Begins Sept. 9 (ospreyobserver.com) — If you live or drive near Brandon Boulevard, expect round-the-clock construction noise and lane impacts as microtunnel work for the South Hillsborough Pipeline starts September 9 at North and South Moon avenues. Crews will work 24 hours a day on September 10–11, then continue daytime shifts through roughly two weeks, so plan extra travel time and use caution walking, biking, or driving nearby. 
• First-time father delivers breech baby girl in Brandon pawn shop parking lot (fox13news.com) — A Brandon-area couple's rush to HCA Florida Brandon Hospital turned dramatic when their baby girl arrived breech in the front seat outside a local pawn shop. The calm first-time father safely delivered her before EMTs arrived, and both mom and newborn are now healthy, resting together at Brandon Hospital and hoping to head home Saturday.
