Photos: ATM Robbery Suspect Sought by Deputies

Hillsborough deputies say the same man may be responsible for two recent thefts in the Brandon area.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is looking for some help identifying a man it says is connected to two recent robberies at ATM locations in the Brandon area.

The first crime occurred around 1:21 a.m. July 14 when a man approached a person using the ATM at Wells Fargo Bank, 2014 S. Kings Ave.

“The suspect removed the victim’s ATM card and cash from the ATM and a struggle ensued,” the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to media. “The suspect threatened the victim and implied he had a weapon before running from the scene.”

The second case unfolded at the PNC Bank, 301 W. Brandon Blvd., July 17 at 9:34 p.m. Deputies say a man approached a woman as she was using the drive-through ATM and took the cash from the machine before running away.

The suspect in both cases has been described as a white male who stands about 6 feet tall. He weighs an estimated 220 pounds and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, black boots and had a white T-shirt over his face.
