Watch: World's Tallest Roller Coaster Will Tower Over Orlando
A new animation shows the vision for the Skyscraper, which is anticipated to open in 2017.

Thrill seekers will have another reason to flock to the Orlando area when the Skyscraper opens in 2017.
Projected to be the world’s tallest roller coaster, the ride will climb more than 500 feet above Orlando’s International Drive, taking riders through a course that includes dives, tumbles, loops and plenty of twists.
Orlando-based US Thrill Rides released a four-minute animation of the ride Sunday, giving fans a sneak peek of what to expect. Part of the new Skyplex entertainment complex, Skyscraper and other attractions will be located at the northeast corner of International Drive and Sand Lake Road. The center is strategically located in the heart of International Drive’s nightlife and entertainment district.

The 12-acre Skyplex site will also feature a 55,000-square-foot Mango’s Tropical Café, according to Skyscraper’s developer. In addition, the complex will offer upscale arcades, simulators, rock climbing, retail shops, eateries and more, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
The roller coaster will be the tallest structure in the entire Orlando area once opened.
