• Tampa space company to build floating launchpads for Firefly, Vaya rockets (palmbeachpost.com) — Cape Canaveral’s growing launch traffic is helping drive a new Tampa-based effort to build floating rocket launchpads that could ease congestion at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Seagate Space is starting prototype work in Port Tampa Bay, partnering with Firefly Aerospace and Cocoa-based Vaya Space on offshore launches that would complement missions from Launch Complex 13 and expand options for small satellite customers.
   

• Blue Origin Launchpad May Not Be Restored Until 2028: NASA's Isaacman (recentlyheard.com) — A recent Blue Origin New Glenn test explosion at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station badly damaged the company’s only local launchpad, and NASA’s administrator says full restoration could stretch to around 2028. The setback affects lunar mission planning and commercial satellite customers, even as Blue Origin leaders pledge to rebuild and aim to fly again before year’s end.
