• Evacuations continue as wildfire burns in Goethe State Forest (chronicleonline.com) — A major wildfire in Goethe State Forest has forced evacuations and led officials to open a comfort center for displaced residents at First Baptist Church Chiefland on North Young Boulevard. Multiple fast-moving fires, road closures, and shifting winds are threatening homes across Levy County, and residents near affected areas are urged to evacuate promptly and use the Chiefland shelter if needed.
