PALM HARBOR, FL — Five people were injured after two dogs got into a fight at the Palm Harbor Walmart in the 35000 block of U.S. 19 N. on Tuesday afternoon, according to multiple reports.
Three store employees and two of the dogs’ owners were injured while trying to separate the animals during the incident, which deputies responded to around 1 p.m., Tampa Bay 28 reported.
One person was brought to the hospital with high blood pressure, reports said.
Owners told deputies that the dogs involved in the fight were a terrier mix and a Chihuahua mix, which Pinellas County Animal Control will confirm, Fox 13 said.
The owners of both dogs were trespassed from the store, according to WTSP.
Walmart doesn’t allow pets in its stores, though service animals are permitted. Neither dog is a service animal, reports said.
