- Clearwater Police Department: Whether you're on the beach or the mainland, please always be aware of pedestrian traffic. This is an especially busy time of the year, with spring break, spring training and many other draws that attract thousands of visitors annually. Always yield to pedestrians in crosswalks who have the right of way, and keep a special eye out for those crosswalks where the pedestrians can activate a flashing yellow light to get the attention of the drivers. Together, we can all make Clearwater a safer place.
