'Serial Stowaway's' Florida Trip Detoured By Jail
The California woman is known nationally for sneaking onto airplanes and into hotel rooms.

A 63-year-old woman with a long record of stowing away on flights across the country is behind bars once more.
This time Marilyn Jean Hartman was arrested in Nassau County after deputies say she boarded a flight from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, bound to Jacksonville, using someone else’s name, according to ABC News.
Once on the ground in Jacksonville, Hartman is accused of taking a shuttle to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort where she checked in under a false name, the station reported. When the real room holder tried to check in, the front desk contacted Hartman, but she disappeared, ActionNewsJax reported.

Authorities caught up with Hartman on Monday. It seems she moved into a room on the Omni property that was under renovation, Action News added.

Hartman’s antics have made headlines numerous times in the past. She claims to have an illness that’s unrecognized by medical officials called “whistleblower trauma syndrome.” She claims that illness was brought on by the FBI forcing her to flee her home, NBC reported.
Last August, Hartman was sentenced to 177 days in jail after admitting violating her probation twice. Authorities say she hopped on a plane in San Jose bound for Los Angeles on Aug. 4. She was then ordered to stay away from the airport, but paid a visit the very next day, Patch reported last year.
She’s also tried to board flights from San Francisco to Hawaii, but was unsuccessful.
Hartman’s latest Florida trip has resulted in a stay at the Nassau County Jail. Authorities there have charged her with impersonation, defrauding an innkeeper and trespassing. She remained in the Nassau County Jail Tuesday in lieu of $50,506 bond.
